Colour in Time

When Merel Karhof meets Antonio Bonaldi (Italian ceramist, who works exclusively on the potters wheel) he states to work quicker than industry, intrigued by his statement Karhof challenges Bonaldi and asks him to make a set of tableware in which she times the duration of making for each single piece. Each plate has a stamp with this duration of time. To visualize the velocity of his working in one glance, she made a colour/time graph, which resulted in a colour gradient from transparent to yellow applied on the crockery set.
